In the 21st century, our patients no longer have to accept that the slowing down of physical or mental functions is a result of aging. The philosophy behind anti-aging medicine is founded on the principles of prevention. Patient care management is based on an integrative medical approach, a philosophy born out of the success of sports medicine, with a proactive approach to creating and maintaining optimum health with what we call the five pillars of anti-aging – aesthetics, nutrition, physical exercise, hormone optimization, and genetics.This year’s scientific program has been designed to encompass multi-disciplinary and complementary areas of anti-aging and functional medicine. Topics include new frontiers in cosmetic medicine, hormones and their impact on the aging process, compounding pharmaceuticals in anti-aging medicine and skincare, genes and diet, testosterone in treating diabetes and heart disease, as well as the latest research in genomics.
Our last congress in May 2008 had an overwhelming attendance of 974 participants: 521 delegates, 289 independent exhibitors and their guests, 66 internationally renowned speakers, 68 members of the media and 10 guests of honor.
